Frequently asked questions
Why do lips need sun protection?
Lips have almost no melanin - the natural UV protection. They burn faster. The Lip Shine combines SPF 35 with a moisturising balm formula so protection and care happen in one step.
How does Lip Shine differ from regular lipstick?
Lip Shine is a balm, not a stick - hyaluronic acid and peptides actively supply moisture to your lips. Regular lipstick covers and colours; Lip Shine protects, cares and adds a subtle shine.
Can lips really get sunburned?
Yes. Lips have no melanin - your natural UV protection. They are therefore significantly more susceptible to sunburn than the rest of your face. Cracked lips after sun exposure are often a sign of sunburn, not just dehydration.
How often do I need to reapply Lip Shine?
Every two hours or after eating and drinking - like any lip protection. SPF 35 is water resistant, but eating removes it. One touch-up after lunch is enough for the rest of the day.
Are peptides effective in a lip balm?
Yes, but differently from creams. Lip balms work on the surface - the moisturising and supporting effect of the peptides and hyaluronic acid keeps lips plump and supple. Structural changes in the lip tissue take consistent use over several weeks.
