What do eye pads actually do?
The hydrogel texture drives hyaluronic acid and peptides in more intensively than open application. The area under the eyes is temporarily sealed — active ingredients cannot evaporate and penetrate more deeply. The result is a plumped, visibly refreshed eye area.
Why are hydrogel pads better than a serum applied under the eyes?
Hydrogel adheres for longer and releases active ingredients continuously (15 to 20 minutes) so that hyaluronic acid and peptides can penetrate at a depth that brief application does not achieve. The occlusive effect increases the absorption rate.
How many times a week should I use the hydrogel masks?
2 to 3 times a week is ideal for regular use. For big events or after a poor night's sleep, daily use is also possible. The hydrogel is gentle enough for daily application.
Can the pads be used under make-up directly before an appointment?
Yes, but with timing: apply 15 minutes beforehand, then gently pat in the remaining gel (do not wash off) and apply make-up as usual. The eye area is optimally prepared — plumped, smooth, and well-moisturised.
Do the pads work against puffiness or only against wrinkles?
Primarily against wrinkles and dryness, because hyaluronic acid plumps the skin. Puffiness is caused by fluid retention — that is a circulation issue, not a hydration issue. Cooling the pads beforehand (in the fridge) can temporarily reduce puffiness through vasoconstriction, but this is an indirect effect, not the primary function.
