The most important ingredients

Cysteamine

A molecule produced by the body that occurs in every human cell and is among the most effective actives against pigment spots.

Function: Can regulate pigment formation via several pathways at once and visibly ease dark spots.

Glycolic acid

The smallest fruit acid (AHA) - can penetrate especially deep into the skin and loosen dead cells.

Function: Can accelerate skin renewal, ease pigment spots and refine skin texture.

Lactic acid

Gentle fruit acid (AHA) that occurs naturally in the skin - exfoliates and provides moisture at the same time.

Function: Can loosen dead skin cells, regulate the pH value and provide the skin with moisture.

Vitamin C

The most important water-soluble antioxidant of the skin.

Function: Can brighten the complexion, support resilience, ease pigment spots and protect from UV damage.

Centella Asiatica

Also known as tiger grass - a plant extract with a long tradition in skincare.

Function: Can soothe the skin, strengthen the skin barrier and support skin regeneration.

Vitamin E

Fat-soluble antioxidant - protects the cell membranes and works synergistically with vitamin C.

Function: Can neutralise free radicals, strengthen the skin barrier and boost the effect of vitamin C.

Shea butter

Rich plant butter from the African shea nut - contains vitamins A, E and fatty acids.

Function: Can intensively nourish the skin, strengthen the skin barrier and ease dryness.

Application

Step 1 - Cyspera Intensive: First thing in the morning, apply to dry, unwashed skin like a mask, only on the areas with pigment spots. Leave on for 5 minutes at first, then gradually increase to a maximum of 15 minutes.

Step 2 - Cyspera Neutralize: Use it to wash off Intensive. Apply to the skin, massage in briefly and rinse thoroughly with water.

Step 3 - Cyspera Boost: Apply a thin layer and let it absorb. Then continue with your usual care.

Always use sun protection with at least SPF 50 during the day. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Frequently asked questions

What is cysteamine and why is it special?

Cysteamine (cysteamine HCl) occurs naturally in your body. As a brightening active, it acts on melanin formation in several ways (melanin is the pigment that makes pigment spots dark).

Unlike hydroquinone, which is not permitted in skincare in the EU, cysteamine may be used in cosmetics. It is suitable for all skin types from Fitzpatrick I to VI, from very fair to very dark skin. In the Intensive System you get Cyspera Intensive together with Neutralize and Boost, so the three steps are matched to each other.

Just 15 minutes a day - is that really enough?

Yes. That is the Cyspera principle: short contact time. You apply Intensive to dry skin first thing in the morning, leave it on for 5 to a maximum of 15 minutes and then wash it off.

That sounds like very little. In studies with 15 minutes a day over 16 weeks, researchers observed visible brightening of the spots. The short contact time keeps the strain on the skin low. In the system you wash off Intensive with Neutralize, then Boost follows.

What does the Intensive System contain?

Three products: Cyspera Intensive (the active, leave on for 5 to a maximum of 15 minutes in the morning), Cyspera Neutralize (the mild cleanser you use to wash off Intensive and end the contact time) and Cyspera Boost (care cream that completes the system).

All three belong together. Neutralize is not an optional step but part of the system.

Why do I wash off Cyspera Intensive with Neutralize?

Because Neutralize deliberately ends the action of cysteamine. It washes off the residue, removes the typical cysteamine smell and rebalances the skin. It also contains Centella Asiatica, a plant extract that soothes the skin.

With water alone you remove the residue less thoroughly, and the skin is more likely to react with redness or dryness.

Can I combine Cyspera with other brighteners?

Not on top. The system already brings what it needs for brightening: Boost, for example, already contains vitamin C compounds. Additional brighteners such as kojic acid, arbutin or a separate vitamin C serum mainly increase the risk of irritation.

Important: keep the rest of your routine gentle, so no extra peels or high-strength acids alongside the system.

About the brand

Cyspera specialises in stubborn pigment spots and an uneven complexion. The products do without hydroquinone, cortisone and retinoic acid and are therefore particularly well tolerated. Practical: Cyspera is applied in the morning like a short mask and washed off after 15 minutes. Afterwards, you apply your usual routine from ZO Skin Health, iS Clinical or mesoestetic directly on top - Cyspera can be combined with all of our brands.
