The most important ingredients

Retinol

The gold standard in anti-ageing - a form of vitamin A that accelerates skin renewal.

Function: Can support the skin's resilience, ease wrinkles, brighten pigment spots and refine skin texture.

Ubiquinone (Q10)

A coenzyme produced by the body that occurs in every cell - production declines from around the age of 30.

Function: As an antioxidant, can protect skin cells from free radicals and support cellular energy production.

Urea

A natural moisturising factor (NMF) of the skin - binds water in the horny layer and makes the skin supple.

Function: Can provide intensive moisture, loosen rough, hardened skin and improve the absorption of other actives.

Panthenol

Provitamin B5 - converted to vitamin B5 in the skin and proven as a soothing active.

Function: Can soothe the skin, bind moisture and support regeneration after irritation.

Application

1-2 pumps apply to the desired body areas. Massage in gently until the product is absorbed.

Morning use in the morning and/or evening. Especially on dry areas such as elbows, knees and shins.

Frequently asked questions

Is there professional anti-ageing care for the body too?

Yes. The Body Emulsion brings the ZO Skin Health principle to the whole body: retinol for cell renewal, vitamin C and E for antioxidant protection. It improves rough skin texture, eases sun damage and supports skin renewal on arms, legs, décolletage and torso.

Most people invest a lot in facial care and forget the body. The Body Emulsion closes this gap.

Can I use the Body Emulsion daily?

Yes, but start with 2-3 times a week - just like with facial retinol. The Body Emulsion contains retinol that renews your body skin so it looks smoother and firmer. Used too often, it can lead to dryness.

After 2 weeks of getting used to it, you can increase to every other day. It is best applied in the evening, so that the retinol works overnight and the skin doesn't get direct sun.

Does the emulsion help against décolletage wrinkles?

Yes, it works very well exactly there. The décolletage often ages faster than the facial skin - sun, less care, less moisture. Retinol + vitamin C + vitamin E (the emulsion's antioxidant complex) stimulate new collagen, so that fine lines smooth out and the skin looks plumper.

Results after 8-12 weeks of regular use. Always apply sunscreen to your décolletage afterwards - otherwise the wrinkles return quickly.

How does the Body Emulsion differ from a normal body cream?

Normal creams only provide moisture. The Body Emulsion moisturises AND renews: retinol stimulates cell division, vitamin C brightens dark areas, vitamin E protects against oxidation. The result is not just softer, but also visibly younger-looking skin.

A normal cream is maintenance. The Body Emulsion is active skin improvement for arms, legs, neck and décolletage.

Can I use the emulsion under self-tanner?

Not on the same evening. Retinol and self-tanner compete for skin absorption and can look patchy together. Use the emulsion on at least 2-3 days of the week, and the self-tanner on the other days.

Better still: use the emulsion during the week and self-tanner at the weekend. This way you avoid discolouration and benefit from both products at the same time.

About the brand

ZO Skin Health was developed by Dr. Zein Obagi - one of the world's most renowned dermatologists, with over 35 years of research in Beverly Hills. His principle: the skin is not “repaired” from the outside; instead, the cells themselves are activated. Because collagen, elastin and cell renewal decline with age, ZO products work in a targeted way across different skin layers - as system skincare following established treatment protocols, not as a single product.
