Frequently asked questions

What is cysteamine and why is it special?

Cysteamine (cysteamine HCl) is a natural component of your skin cells - so it already exists in your body. It inhibits melanin production on five pathways simultaneously, which makes it more effective than most conventional brighteners such as hydroquinone or kojic acid.

Just 15 minutes a day - is that really enough?

Yes. That is the Cyspera principle: short contact time. You apply the Intensive, leave it on for 15 minutes and rinse it off. Brief and targeted is more effective than leaving it on all night - and it reduces the risk of irritation.

What does the Intensive System contain?

Two products: Cyspera Intensive (the active ingredient - apply for 15 minutes, then rinse off) and Cyspera Neutralize (balances the pH after the Intensive and calms the skin). Together they form the complete Cyspera protocol.

Why must I use Cyspera Neutralize directly after the Intensive?

Cysteamine has a pH value that temporarily makes the skin alkaline - this can be irritating. Cyspera Neutralize immediately restores the skin's natural acid mantle and calms any potential redness.

Can I combine Cyspera with other brighteners?

No, not advisable. Cysteamine inhibits melanin on five pathways simultaneously - if you also use vitamin C, niacinamide or kojic acid in parallel, you are not increasing the effect, you are increasing the irritation load. One active brightening agent is enough.

About the brand

Cyspera specialises in stubborn pigment spots and an uneven complexion. The products do without hydroquinone, cortisone and retinoic acid and are therefore particularly well tolerated. Practical: Cyspera is applied in the morning like a short mask and washed off after 15 minutes. Afterwards, you apply your usual routine from ZO Skin Health, iS Clinical or mesoestetic directly on top - Cyspera can be combined with all of our brands.
