The most important ingredients
Vitamin B3 - one of the most versatile actives, working on pores, pigment and the skin barrier.
Function: Can visually minimise pores, ease pigment spots, strengthen the skin barrier and ease redness.
The most important water-soluble antioxidant of the skin.
Function: Can brighten the complexion, support resilience, ease pigment spots and protect from UV damage.
The only fat-soluble fruit acid (BHA) - can penetrate into the pores, where water-based acids cannot reach.

What is cosmelan 2 and can I use it without a prior treatment?
No. cosmelan 2 is the home care phase of the cosmelan system. It only comes into use after the cosmelan 1 treatment in the practice. Without the prior treatment it is not effective as a standalone brightener.
What is the difference between cosmelan 2 and other brightening creams?
cosmelan 2 is not a standalone product but the professionally accompanied home phase. The prior treatment (cosmelan 1) intensively disrupts the melanin cycle - cosmelan 2 then maintains this result and prevents reactivation.
What is the exact dosing schedule in the 3 phases?
Phase 1 (intensive): First 1 to 2 weeks, once daily in the evening, maximum concentration. You will notice dryness and mild flaking - that is the process. Phase 2 (consolidation): weeks 3 to 6, every other day in the evening. Phase 3 (maintenance): from week 7, twice weekly.
Can I interrupt cosmelan 2 if my skin gets irritated?
You should discuss that with your treating practitioner, not on your own. Brief pauses (1 to 2 days) are possible without losing progress - longer interruptions should be agreed with the practice.
Can I use cosmelan 2 in the sun or only in winter?
cosmelan 2 is ideally started in periods of lower sun intensity (autumn/winter) because the skin is more sensitive during the treatment and UV can trigger new pigmentation. Sun protection SPF 50+ daily is mandatory during the entire treatment period.
