Frequently asked questions
Is it true that the Active Serum helps with almost everything?
It actually covers seven skin concerns: blemishes, pigmentation, wrinkles, enlarged pores, rough texture, firmness and SPF-support. The combination of plant acids, antioxidants and soothing agents makes this possible - at a pH of 3.8 for optimal penetration.
Can I use the Active Serum on sensitive skin?
The pH of 3.8 can tingle initially. Start with one drop every other evening and increase slowly. The willow bark and lactic acid are gentler than aggressive AHA acids, but a build-up phase is still recommended.
Does one serum really help with 7 skin concerns simultaneously?
The Active Serum actually covers seven skin topics: blemish-prone skin, pigmentation, fine lines, enlarged pores, rough texture, firmness and supporting the effect of SPF. All of this happens because the formula addresses several biological pathways at once.
Who should use the Active Serum and who should not?
Ideal: mature skin with wrinkles OR blemish-prone skin with pigmentation spots OR combination skin with several concerns simultaneously. Not ideal: very reactive, rosacea-typical or acutely irritated skin - the low pH can be too stimulating.
Can I combine the Active Serum with retinol?
No, not on the same evening. Both products are chemical exfoliators with low pH, so your barrier would be overwhelmed - risk of over-exfoliation and barrier damage. Alternate: Active Serum one evening, retinol the next.
