The most important ingredients

Azelaic acid

Naturally occurring acid (also produced by yeasts on the skin) with multiple effects.

Function: Can ease blemishes, redness and pigment spots at the same time - one of the most versatile actives.

Kojic acid

Obtained from fermented rice fungi - inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase that produces pigment.

Function: Can inhibit melanin production and brighten pigment spots.

Arbutin

Plant-based active from bearberry - can inhibit melanin production (pigment formation).

Function: Can brighten pigment spots and make the complexion more even, without irritating the skin.

Niacinamide

Vitamin B3 - one of the most versatile actives, working on pores, pigment and the skin barrier.

Function: Can visually minimise pores, ease pigment spots, strengthen the skin barrier and ease redness.

Vitamin C

The most important water-soluble antioxidant of the skin.

Function: Can brighten the complexion, support resilience, ease pigment spots and protect from UV damage.

Bisabolol

Active from chamomile - one of the gentlest soothing ingredients in skincare.

Function: Can ease redness and irritation and improve the absorption of other actives into the skin.

Application

Apply the cosmelan 2 cream thinly to the entire face after cleansing in the evening - not just on the pigmented areas. The frequency and amount of application is individually adjusted by your doctor.

Always use sunscreen with at least SPF 50 during the day. The set additionally contains Mesoprotech Melan 130 as optimal UV protection during treatment.

Important: The application is carried out under medical supervision. Follow the agreed dosage precisely.

What does the Home Pack contain?

All products for home care after cosmelan 1 in one set. Only meaningful after the professional practice treatment - it is not a standalone brightening system.

What is in the Home Pack and do I need everything?

The pack contains three products: cosmelan 2 (brightening cream), Melan Recovery (soothing care) and Mesoprotech Melan 130 (ultra-high SPF). All three are necessary for the protocol - one cannot sensibly replace the others.

Is the Home Pack sufficient on its own or do I need additional products?

The pack is the core system after cosmelan 1 (practice peel). Additionally you need a mild cleanser (no foam, no acids) and nothing more. Keep the routine simple - the fewer additional active ingredients during the treatment, the better.

How long does one Home Pack last?

The longevity depends on your skin area (face only or also neck/décolleté) and the dosage. Typically one pack covers the first 8 to 12 weeks of treatment - the intensive phase plus consolidation phase.

Can I use the Home Pack without the professional cosmelan 1 treatment?

No. cosmelan 2 is specifically designed to function after the professional practice treatment (cosmelan 1). Without the prior treatment it is not effective as a standalone brightening system and the high concentrations are not justified.

Instructions for use

Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. For external use only. Do not apply to damaged or irritated skin. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes; rinse immediately with water if contact occurs. Wash hands after application. Do not use if known allergy to any ingredient. Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use simultaneously with glycolic acid products; keep at least one week apart. Avoid prolonged direct sun exposure. During the entire depigmentation process and afterwards, use sunscreen with at least SPF 50. Tingling, itching or mild burning in the first weeks are normal reactions. Maximum 0.5 ml per application; thicker layers may cause extreme dryness and flaking.
