Is the Daily Skincare Program the right way to start?
Yes, if you are new to ZO Skin Health. The set contains the base products following the Getting Skin Ready principle: cleansing, exfoliation, toner.
No aggressive actives, no retinol - but the foundation you can build on later.
What does GSR - Getting Skin Ready mean?
GSR is the basic concept of ZO Skin Health and means that your skin is prepared first before you apply strong actives. The Daily Skincare Program is exactly this preparation.
The set contains: gentle cleansing (without aggressive cleansers), mild exfoliation (to remove dead skin cells) and toner (to restore the natural pH value). This makes your skin receptive to serums and creams with actives like retinol, so that these can work much better later.
How long should I use the Daily Skincare Program?
The program is intended as a daily foundation. Your skin gets used to cleansing daily and exfoliating lightly without becoming irritated.
After that you can slowly switch to more specialised products (e.g. retinol, vitamin C, active ingredients), so that your skin is stronger and more resilient. But the Daily Program remains your foundation - you continue to use it alongside all other products.
Which products are included in the set?
The Daily Skincare Program is a complete 4-step system: Exfoliating Cleanser (cleansing), Exfoliating Polish (peeling), Complexion Renewal Pads (toner) and Daily Power Defense (protection and moisture). It is best to check the exact contents in the product description, as ZO Skin Health refines formulas regularly.
Important: the program contains no high-dose retinol. Exfoliating Cleanser and Complexion Renewal Pads contain salicylic acid and glycolic acid, so sunscreen is always part of your daytime routine.
Can I combine the Daily Program with other ZO Skin Health products?
Yes, absolutely. The Program is the base on which everything else is built. You always cleanse and tone with it, and then your specialised serums and creams layer on top.
Example: cleanser → toner → Growth Factor Serum (for collagen building) → retinol (for signs of ageing) → sunscreen (in the morning). Or: cleanser → toner → Firming Serum (for firming) → Night Repair (in the evening). The Program ensures that your skin is optimally prepared, so that every further product can work to the maximum.
