Frequently asked questions

Serum or Complex - what do I need for brightening?

The Brightening Serum is lighter and absorbs quickly - good under make-up. The Brightening Complex is more intensive and concentrated - ideal for persistent or extensive pigmentation spots that need the full strength.

Why is it important to apply SPF AFTER the Brightening Complex?

The mineral UV filters (zinc oxide, titanium dioxide) in most SPF products create a protective layer on the skin. Without SPF the vitamin C and arbutin in the Complex can react with UV and cause oxidative damage - the opposite of what you want.

I have pigmentation spots on my hands and arms too - can I use the Brightening Complex anywhere?

Yes, that is exactly what it is designed for. The Brightening Complex is more intensive than the serum, so ideal for stubborn or extensive spots. Apply it on hands and arms as on the face - morning use followed by SPF.

How much time does it take for pigmentation spots to become lighter?

First improvements: 4 to 6 weeks with consistent morning use with SPF. Actual brightening: 8 to 12 weeks. Very old or deep spots need longer. Patience and daily SPF protection are the key factors.

Is the Brightening Complex also safe for rosacea-sensitive skin?

The Complex contains vitamin C which can irritate rosacea-prone skin. Arbutin is mild, but the combination with the concentration can be too stimulating. For rosacea-typical skin: start with the gentler Brightening Serum first.
