Six products, but not a random selection: this combination comes from ZO Skin Health itself as a protocol. The manufacturer offers several of them; we chose the version that fits most broadly and changed nothing. Several processes are involved in visible skin aging at the same time, so the protocol works in three stages: preparation, active ingredients, protection.

This set is the version without retinol. For a stronger option, choose the Retinol Anti-Aging Set.

  1. Getting Skin Ready (GSR)

    GSR is the foundation of every ZO Skin Health routine: cleanse, exfoliate, tone. GSR normalizes skin functions and prepares the skin so that the following active ingredients are absorbed optimally. Without this preparation, much of the effect is lost.

  2. Activation

    This is where the best comes together. Daily Power Defense strengthens the skin barrier with antioxidants and plant stem cells, 10% Vitamin C Self-Activating works on wrinkles, firmness and a more even complexion. None of these products contains just one active ingredient, each contains a whole bundle.

  3. Protection

    The last step of every ZO Skin Health protocol is protection. The mineral Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 50 protects against UV radiation, the most important accelerator of skin ageing. Without daily protection, the active ingredients work against a constant stream of new triggers.

What makes this set better than a single anti-aging cream?

How does the application work day to day?

Clear and in three steps: prepare, care, protect. The exact order for morning and evening is right on the page, so you don't have to look anything up. In everyday use, that means a few minutes morning and evening.

How quickly can you see results?

Skin renews itself in cycles of about six weeks, and collagen builds up even more slowly. First changes usually appear after several weeks, more noticeable ones after three to four cycles. Anti-aging takes patience, but the result lasts.

How to use

How to use the set

The list below is also the order of application. Stick to it, it is part of how the set works.

It follows the texture, from the lightest to the richest. Light formulas with smaller molecules absorb first; rich textures go on top and would otherwise shield them.

Behind it is always the same pattern. First the preparation: cleansing, exfoliating, toning. Then the active ingredients in the order given. In the morning, sun protection comes last; in the evening, it is left out.

Morning

  1. Exfoliating Cleanser: apply a small amount to damp skin, gently massage in for about one minute, rinse with lukewarm water.
  2. Exfoliating Polish (two to three times a week): apply a small amount to damp skin, gently massage in, then rinse thoroughly. The exfoliation belongs in the morning.
  3. Complexion Renewal Pads: use a whole pad, do not cut it. Work over face and neck with both sides, actively wiping across all of the skin until the pad is no longer moist. The last step of Getting Skin Ready.
  4. Daily Power Defense: one to two pumps on face and neck, avoiding the eye area.
  5. 10% Vitamin C Self-Activating: a small amount as the last serum, before sunscreen.
  6. Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 50: apply generously as the last step; when in the sun, reapply every one to two hours.

Evening

  1. Exfoliating Cleanser: as in the morning, a small amount, massage in for about one minute, rinse.
  2. Complexion Renewal Pads: one whole pad, both sides actively over face and neck until the pad is no longer moist.
  3. Daily Power Defense: one to two pumps.

10% Vitamin C Self-Activating: a small amount as the last serum. Exfoliation is reserved for the morning.

Notes on application

Contains salicylic acid (BHA). May increase photosensitivity - use daily sunscreen. Do not apply to open wounds or inflamed skin. Not suitable for children under 3 years. Do not use if known hypersensitivity to salicylates.
Contains glycolic acid (AHA). Increases skin photosensitivity - use daily sunscreen (SPF 30+). Do not apply to damaged skin. Reduce or discontinue use if severe irritation occurs.
Contains small amounts of vitamin A compounds (retinyl palmitate). Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Daytime sunscreen with at least SPF 30 recommended. For external use only.
